All My HIT Stats Have Been Reset!

    Besides two follow up surveys I haven't done any HITs since I was able to get back into my account. I don't want to make any money that might disappear later. Argh.

    I should be working on my knitting (Barbie dresses for my kiddos) for Christmas instead of refreshing my accounts page to see if my money is back in there. I feel like that kid in Better Off Dead. TWO DOLLARS! I WANT MY TWO DOLLARS!! (except it's $100)

    when you say you got back into your account, did you fill out the participation agreement again, or did that stop appearing when trying to log in?

    I did accidentally agree to the participation agreement again. I was in a hurry and sorta (ok really) panicking. It took 24 hours after that before I could login again. I did get my old MTurk id back, though, so I don't know what it was that allowed me to get back in. I just kept getting the your account is under review and this generally takes 48 hours message.

    I wish they were better at communication. I got my canned response at 3 something in the morning, so maybe they are India based?

    yeah i'm keeping a real hands off approach to the account. my worker ID is there, as is my balance. i'm getting emails from requesters using my ID. but i'm not going to go through the new account process again. i can't believe this hasnt been resolved yet. it's not like we're complaining about a HIT. this is kinda serious :/

    Well, I'm Able to Log Back into MTurk, But...

    Well, I'm able to log into MTurk now, but much the same as moxygen, all my stats are still set as if I'm a new worker of MTurk, meaning that most of the better* HITs are unavailable to me until I do another 500, 1000, or 5000 HITs.

    At any rate, I have to decide if I want to wait until MTurk reverses its current state of collective cranio-rectal inversion, which will cost me even more money, or just bite the bullet and grind out the HITs until I'm back to a semblance of where I previously was.

    *"Better" of course being a relative term when one is discussing the quality of work available on MTurk.;)

    I am still waiting on another response from them. This is the last one I got early this morning:

    Hi,

    I'm very sorry for your concern over your account issue.

    In order to fully investigate this I'll need to engage some other teams which may take a few days. I'll keep this case open and get back to you in few business days with more information.

    I am continuing to work, and when/if they give me my stuff back I'm going to be sure to tell them I want the money I'm making NOW and the money that I had pending when they stole it from me. And yes, I'm frustrated enough to call it stealing now. If this were an on sight job, they would be sued for taking work without paying LOL.

    The only thing new I'm getting today are emails saying that I received bonuses but they are not on my account because Amazon deleted all of my pending hits. I wonder where their money is going since it is not coming to me? Someone behind Mturk is stealing money. Not cool.

    I haven't heard anything else, but it's the weekend. My account balance is slowly going up although I don't know where the money is coming from. I had a lot of pending hits out there before my account took a vacation. Nothing is listed in my account status except for the work I did when I got my account back.

    I did get an email for the work I did this week - just like I did last Sunday. So, somewhere in the machine that is MTurk our stats and everything else are in there. I hope they get this sorted out quickly.

    Okay all of you that are having this issue, is there a common thread? Do you use the same internet service by any chance? I am just wondering if there's some connection that would make it so only certain people are having their accounts messed up while the rest of us aren't having any problems.

    i use at&t, but i've also tried logging in on a comcast connection. no difference.

    I don't think it has to do with service providers. I live in the middle of no where and use a local co-op for internet service. The amount of time that people have been using mturk didn't seem to be a connection either. There is someone on another message board who has been turking for a very long time. I've had my account for over a year but didn't start working until 2 weeks ago.

    I am thinking it was some sort of hiccup server fart sort of thing that was random. Who knows, unless mturk tells us (and their communication skills are horrible) we won't find out.

    I use Windstream. I've been trying to find out what went wrong on the 7th. It seems like we all went out at the same time on the same day. At this point I don't even care about my qualifications or hit number. I can get that stuff back just by working. It's the money that they lost and the fact that most of the hits tell me I can't redo them because I've already done them but never got my money for them that is pissing me off. If I could go back and redo all of the hits I would.
    Another thing that is pissing me off is this 100 hit limit BS. I done went through all this two years ago. Really sucks to be in the middle of working and get a message that you can't complete anymore till the next day. And it's not even letting me go to 100 every day. It only let me go to 92 last night.

    oh, believe me, i want my HIT stats back and my qualifications back. i don't care if they have to manually input values into my account, i need those stats back.

    and the 100/day HIT limit includes returns and abandons. so you must have returned or let expire 8 HITs.

    My account is back, as well. However, I'd done a few HITs after it had been re-approved, and those are now gone. I'm thinking I'm just going to write those off- it was less than 50 cents worth of HITs, and I don't want to give them any more excuses to muck about with my account and possibly break it again.

    The worst part is having lost 6 days worth of Turking time.

    Mine is back as well, but the money I've made since the 7th is missing. And all of my hits from before that are now approved, I don't have any money from them. There is only .92 in my account. So now they took my money from before AND the money I made since. Sheesh.

    My account is back but minus the $2 I earned doing follow up survey hits while my account was at 0. *sigh* I was worried that any money I made during the messed up time would be gone, so I didn't want to do more than I had to (follow ups).

    I am sorry your money is missing, Lori. I hope they get it back. I don't know if contacting them through their support page would work or not. They aren't the best at communication.

    I am peeved (like the rest of you) at all of the money making opportunities that we missed out on. I am going to start withdrawing my money - my balance does not equal my total earnings although the balance is slowly (like very slowly, maybe a dollar a day) going up.

    THANK GOD. My account is steadily going up a buck or two tonight. I think they are giving me all of my money! And it's all going straight to account balance. I better hurry up and cash out before they lose it again LOL!
