No More Corey B For Me! It's possible that you're just able to write in the style Corey B wants. I had my first hit rejected, and then thought I'd figured out the style he wanted for his summaries and submitted a few more. I had 2 of the next 6 I submitted rejected, and am now blocked from accepting any more Corey B HITs. The thing I found most frustrating was I got no feedback as to why my hits were rejected, and just got the automatic message "Well Done! Thanks for your help." on those HITs that Corey B did accept. I'm blue-skying here, but I'm wondering if somehow my hits didn't pass a copyscape or some other plagiarism tester and that's why they were rejected by Corey B. (I never copy and paste on writing HITs, because I know that's a sure way to have them fail if I don't change the text enough. Safer to just start with a blank page, or so I thought.)
I've been published and I had one HIT rejected by Corey B. Perhaps it is a style issue as someone mentioned but in my case it was definitely not an inability to write.
I'm a former writing tutor, majored in English in college... I submit to Corey B and he's only rejected me once. Those 25ยข summary HITs are my bread and butter, 2-3 minutes apiece.
I had one rejection from him with no reason given, and I've done tons of editing and writing. Unless he can start offering explanations, I'll just assume he's doing it willy-nilly.
I don't think he's doing it willy-nilly. After the first HIT I wrote for Corey B was rejected, I sent him a message and he responded back with this: ...the usual issue we see is that people don't do enough of a summary of the article. They tend to write that it's a good article about cars (or whatever) but they don't go into enough detail about what the original piece of content is actually about. This was why I changed my style while I was working Corey B HITs (my first summary was in a style more suited for a directory or index, but my subsequent ones were in a standard blog-post style). As I speculated before, it's possible my subsequently rejected article summaries for Corey B weren't unique enough and failed a plagiarism test, or they still didn't include enough of a summary to be usable. Without feedback from Corey B, there's no way for me to know and improve.
I've submitted dozens of things for Corey B and got only a couple rejections. I did 50 HITs for him yesterday, the most I've ever done for one requester in my first week. But I do see the feedback issue. I sometimes wish I knew what I was getting into but since I only get accepts I don't complain. If the shoe was on the other foot and I was getting more than a couple rejections without feedback I wouldn't be happy.
