I took a 4 mile walk around my little town last night. Only have 2 of the stops and only seen 3 pokemon, they always seem to be within a couple blocks of the stops. If you use the incense they come to you, you don't have to go anywhere.
You'd think the crowdsourcing platform would be getting better not worse, but it feels like Mturk never improves it just gets worse by the month. Makes me wonder how much longer it will even be around at this rate because I've been at this nearly 2 years and this is as bad as I've ever seen it. It almost feels like the holiday never ended.
I rent many of my books from Amazon. I was surprised that much of the time, they are my cheapest option. Valore is also good for used books or rentals. But I have sometimes been able to buy used books cheaper than I could rent them, depending on who had what. For one of my Lit classes, I didn't get a book at all. It was something like "Literature from the beginning of time until a century ago" kind of class and I found all of the stories contained in the book as open source because they are old as hell.
If you're in an IT related program, you can find a bunch of books online via torrent. Not that I endorse such things.
You guys are lucky you can buy/rent your books outside of your college bookstore. Most of mine came with software or some bullshit and had special branded editions that were only available at the school itself. $200-300 per book. Joy!

I rented my books from Chegg when I was doing University of Wisconsin colleges online. When I transferred to UW Stout, the tuition included the cost of the book rental. I think it was like 3.00 a book added on. So they automatically send you the books for your courses and you send them back at the end of the semester. I loved that.
Mine was that way too. And then the price they accept for re-selling back to them is a rip off but better than nothing.
Yaaaaaaaaas. I rented once. Still cost me about $50 or so. I usually buy, though. And I don't bother selling back. I keep it. MINE.
Mine has pulled that campus edition crap a few times. Once I did buy it because I couldn't find the book anything but new AND it was an unbound book. My old college was really assholish- they wouldn't even tell you what books you needed. You were supposed to bring your class list to their "bookstore" which you couldn't even enter- just a person at a window- and they got your books for you. I waited until other people got theirs and then found mine elsewhere though. That was a community college in Alabama though and it had been under investigation awhile back because they were running a scam- enrolling a bunch of students who would get FA, which they get money for doing- and when the students never actually showed up, they kept the federal money they got for each student. They did it A LOT too.
Yup. My German textbook was damn near $300 I think. Or was that my math text...LOL both were insane that's all I know. And that's for community college. I'd hate to think what it'd be at a 4 year.
I'll be in Asheville visiting family in August. We are staying down the street from the Biltmore. I lived in NC and never went there so I'm looking fwd to it
I think the only reason they cost that much was because they come with a CD (i'm never going to use) and a cert voucher. Security was the cheapest but it also came with keys to free vids such as Professor Messer and feels like the better deal
ppl both here and back home call me an idiot for wanting to finish my degree stateside. They might be right...
