Yeah it seems very clear (so far) that the tasks are "fake": Classify tweets that all sound like attention checks, or review tasks that simply say things like "write a review of iPod". I think they just want to study us turkers and how we work, but in their own little bubble.
It was about 13 minutes going fast. Not too bad. I'd get it out of the way before the batches start flowing.
Although they are going to "rank" us based on the comments and reviews of other turkers. On the Daemo platform there is a "level" on the upper right side that starts at 1 and apparently it changes based on reviews others give to our work. When your level goes up, you earn more pay and have better access to jobs. Not sure how this will all play out, but I have some free time now so I'll chance it. Nothing much better is up anyway.
Any size iced coffee is $1.39 at McDonalds. No matter what size you order they give you a large. I only wanted a medium (because even in sugar free these things have more carbs than I consume in a day), at first I was like WTF then I realized I could just come home and measure it out and wondering if I freeze half of it today, if I can use it to make a frappe tomorrow in the ninja?
