There was a dog out on the street and I noticed the owner was abusing it for quite some time so last night I got the go ahead from the owner to give it away. Once I did, I get a text 30 minutes later with a picture of the dog cuddled up on the couch with its new owner. How someone can hurt a dog or cat for no reason is beyond me.
Like, how did that conversation go with the original owner? Was he all like "oh sure, I hate this fucker, go ahead and take him off my hands"?
It was either steal the dog or shoot the owner. Unfortunately both of those are illegal so I just asked to take it. The response was something a long the lines of what you said.
shiiit, I stole a dog out of someones car before. Fuck that. They didn't even have the windows rolled down or the AC running. Good thing we did too, when we took her to the vet they said it looked like she was a breeder dog her whole life. Now she lives a fat happy life in the AC eating lunchmeat because she's so old most of her teeth have fallen out.
That's actually surprisingly reasonable of him. I'd think the kind of person to abuse/neglect a dog would be the same type that would say no to you, just to be a dick.
