I agree with this, I'm just saying that is going to happen regardless of if the HIT is posted on this forum or not. That's the nature of freelancing. Keeping valuable information off this site doesn't really impact the statistics in the real world, it only makes the site worse. That information is still getting out there, and generally people will go to the forum that is the most helpful.

I think it's slower here for a lot of reasons. Mainly being there are more options out there so everyone doesn't come here. I think a lot of regulars got real jobs too. Also some people stopped doing all social media when HS and TM came about. If someone really needs money and pays their bills with mturk, its usually not a good idea to get caught up in a 3 day discussion about the best way to cook spam lol
You'd be better off starting a chatroom for vets, rather than a forum. I think it would still devolve into infighting and resentment and yet another split like we've seen on every turking forum, but it could be fun while it lasts.
The NBC sports app that allows live streaming of olympic events is pretty cool. It even works on my ancient tablet (not my new Kindle Fire though). I like to watch some of the less watched sports like ping-pong, badminton, kayaking, etc.
