Well over an hour later I'm home. The bf doesn't even know I left. Oops. lol

Ended up making a detour at Wal-Hell for more school supplies. I'm always reminded why I hate that place...

I don't like Belle. She reminds me of annoying Rachel from Big Brother and I can't get past that.

Never watched Big Brother. I'm glad now.

Sorry about Walmart. I try to buy online if I have to shop from there. Their shipping's pretty quick, and it's just less heinous in all ways.

Nope, I totally get you. I'm a lot like that, though I actually require humor above all else (an absolute requirement) or else it's doomed from the start. The few dates I had with men who just never, ever laughed were absolute torture. I may or may have not considered staging an emergency just to get out of it.

I loathe shopping. I'm so not a real chick.

The 10th grader came home with this list of stuff she HASSSSSS to have for tomorrow. Sorry, I don't shop for "due the next day" things for any teacher. Drives me crazy. I told Hannah she will not fail life if she doesn't have her protractor and compass tomorrow. Was going to go out tomorrow BUT.... when? I don't want to miss jobs. Sigh. So... figured I might as well suck it up and go tonight. But... no protractors. No folders. And 3" binders are stupid ass expensive.

How could I forget? I'm falling asleep here, obviously. :)

Oh yes. It's not as strict a requirement as the others, for me, but yeah if he's too serious it's not going to work out either.

I'm smart and all, and I can talk several different kinds of Smart People Talk, but so help me I'm balls at being grownup and serious all the time. If he has no imagination...

...that actually might be more important than humor. I don't care how funny he is, but if he has no imagination I'm probably just going to freak him out.

That's weird the teachers don't give you more warning about what you're going to need. I used to work in the school/office supplies department at my old store, and we usually got supplies lists like weeks before the sales, even. Which were before school started.

When did school start? Trucks for non-grocery items are not always the fastest things, it might be a few days before more stuff comes in.

(oh and: not a super big fan of shopping either. what's a real chick anyway?)

Everyone else does. Just not the high schoolers. They make you wait until you get to school and the individual teachers let you know what you need.

I found everything my 5th and 2nd graders needed (That Target didn't have anymore of) at Office Max. I'll just get her the rest of her stuff before Monday. I'm not worried about it. If they don't even let us know what is needed until after school starts... they just gonna have to chill a bit...

And I am SO not going back to Walmart. I only went there because it was the only thing open at 11pm LOL I go in there like once a year ;)

Well I will say that most of my women friends love shopping. So maybe it's stereotypical but seems to be typical. I'm odd and it's ok haha. It saves me money ;) I cannot stand just looking around. I like to go get what I need and get the heck out.

    *laughs* Me too.

I think the puppet show I once put on in bed to keep my ex from falling asleep (and boy was he ready to strangle me until he lost it 10 mins in and died laughing) pretty much speaks for itself.

    Greetings from Amazon Mechanical Turk,

You've received a bonus from Kenneth A. Younge for work related to 3NBFJK3IOGHTF1W0U0BSBODYPJUGOV.
The value of your bonus is: $4.00 USD

    The Requester included this note:
Thank you for participating in our experiment. We apologize that the server(s) were running so slowly. We have issued a full bonus of $4.00 to everyone (in addition to the $1.00 HIT payment). We will now review the logs in more detail and issue additional bonuses to those caught on the system for more than an hour. Our sincerest apologies again - we would only ask that you note our attempts to be fair in your reviews at Turkopticon, etc. System problems happen at times on the Internet, but our intention is to be fair. Thank you, ~ Ken

Thanks for being a Worker on Mechanical Turk!

Yaaaay! I took an hour and 24 minutes to do this HIT, so that means I'm going to get even more money! This is so kind of him, he didn't even have to do this. It makes me all happy!

sigh. am I going to have to make myself a rule that I can't get on the forum until I've made a certain amount of money? I think I am. I've talked more in the last...what, week? two? :p than I have hand to god in the last year, or at least it seriously feels that way.

just means y'all are just that rad.

but I'm sleepy. night night, ladies and lurkers. sleep good when you do.
