It was all the OCMP69 quals that are up. And today there is a OCMP40 qual that is up, you need to translate pages and you need more than 10 for the qual. That's pretty crappy in my book.
15 years in a self-employment style gig, you learn stuff off the clock that helps position yourself down the road. Note I didn't say freelance, but actual self-employment. Not all your hours in self-employment are billable.

Yeah, that's pretty rare. Most OCMP requesters pay for their qualification tests. The OCMP69s aren't worth it at the current pay rate, either, so you aren't missing a thing there by skipping them (unless they raise the pay which is rather unlikely since they're miraculously still getting done). That's different than working for free, which is what we were talking about. Doing actual work for OCMP69 without pay. Those quals aren't a minimal amount of work, either. I spent a long time working on that header one to get it.
