I know my posts here sometimes tend to be rather negative at times (you should see some of the ones I hit cancel on after typing them). My apologies, and I am working on that. So, in a positive note, the video chat earlier "Understanding Video-mediated Communication ***Chrome only***" by Regan Mandryk for $5 which went awry... the requester answered my message quickly (as in before the HIT expired) with instructions on what to do. This HIT has already been approved. Not doing the chat probably didn't take any longer than doing it, so no real loss, just a bit of stress. So should it come up again, it is a decent paying hit, go for it.
Sorry, continuation of my reply to quarterhorse: Check out http://echodogs.org/ to see the dogs currently available for adoption. I know they've got several fosters in Illinois. One of the most active fosters (she takes in the dogs who have serious medical problems) is in western Illinois. I think basically as long as you're close enough to one of the many volunteers in the network to do a home visit (which for them is basically making sure you live where you say you do, your house is dog safe, you aren't a hoarder, and you don't live in your own filth) they will figure out a way to make it work. I've transported for them in the past and I will absolutely transport for them again. Also, if you want info on the Facebook group (which is a great way to get to know the rescue directors and the current foster dogs!), or any other info about them, PM me and I'd be happy to help you out.
Here's my lil cat. Found her wandering around some underbrush. She was just a tiny ball of fur and sad meows when I found her. She's a bit of a runt so that might be why she was abandoned. She couldn't have been more than a month and a few weeks old.
I feel like sometimes there are good and bad days. I don't know your situation. However, this place is an awesome community. I hope you have more good than bad days. I'm glad that Mandryk Hit got approved for you.
What a cutie!! Stray rescues are always such awesome cats. That's how I got two of my current (both male) and 4 that I've had in the past. They've been fantastic, loving little guys. It's like they know.
I can relate. I usually take my frustrations out on other forums. I couldn't tell you how many times I've been banned from forums, some multiple times. I sometimes come close to slipping here but like you, I just hit the cancel button and take a deep breath and try to find a hit to do.
Definitely. If I leave and come back, my cat practically attacks me. I've never had a cat so attached to me. I guess because I am the only one she's really been around and maybe she thinks I am her mom or something, lol.
