Depends, new or used, money down or no, years to finance and how well you negotiate with them. That was about my score when I bought my truck, but that was 5 years ago. Used, 0 down 6% at the time, Nissan Motor held the loan
New, Honda, money down yes, I wanted 0.9 but once they ran credit score and saw 660 they jumped to 3.99 and was telling me they wanted to go to 5.99 blah blah. Now i'm shooting for 2.99 at another dealership at a lower car price point. Just checking if that is realistic or I'm far reaching. 5 yrs / 60 months, however I'm paying this off at 1 yr max. At the higher apr, ima down 13k for lower interests and pay off 10k in 1 yr
I'm hoping to buy a new car next year. I am hoping to do a large down to try and keep the payments lower and the rest on credit to build my credit. All my past mistakes drop off early next year but it still wont be a great score I'm sure. I just have a care credit card but all payments get made and paid off before the promotional period ends.
Yeah new you should be able to get something decent on APR. If your shooting for 2.9, start at 1.9 or lower and act like that's what you really want. They will shoot it down just keep acting like you cant do it at anything higher. Seems reasonable, all they can say is no and you try another dealer. Worst case just take the best offer after trying multiple dealers. If you have a credit union, might consider asking them for the loan. They are usually reasonable and fair.
I don't know! I just saw a bunch of people posting their scores earlier... is that what you and others used?
