everyone is a 'professor' except for grad student teaching assistants. i honestly don't think it makes a huge deal for rubin's purposes if you mark a few incorrectly, but i think a good rule of thumb is it's a professor until proven otherwise. if there's only one person listed, definitely professor. even if it's a grad student, which it often is for large introductory lectures, to the students and administrators, he or she is the professor of that course. if you have a big course like introductory chemistry I and you see one professor listed for all the lectures and then multiple other people listed for discussion (dis) or recitation (rec) sections of the same course, chances are they're the teaching assistants...

yeah. course catalog, also sometimes the 'bulletin', is usually like a handbook for the school. it lists rules, procedures, timetables, each program and department, staff, requirements for the majors and minors, and the full list of possible classes that could be taught. this gets updated every year or two. the schedule comes out every semester or quarter and lists the actual classes that are being taught the next semester so that students can plan their schedules and register. EDIT: wow, this is literally the most horrific sounding course i've ever seen: CHEM 124 Introduction to General Organic and Biochemistry II do they wanna throw quantum mechanics in there while they're at it??
