I am/was kind of annoyed with Steve Murch. I did a "transcribe a recipe" hit and I was sent an e-mail that said that I need to fix a few errors. My error was- wait for it- I had capitalized the G on Ground black pepper in the ingredients. The e-mail said that he wouldn't approve me until I fixed it. When I clicked on the link to fix the "g," the link took me to the website, not to AMT. AND the G was already lowercase. I sent him a reply explaining all of this stuff, but I didn't hear back from him. It finally approved about 4 or 5 days later, I think. I hadn't worked for him since. It doesn't pay enough for me to worry about making one capitalization error. It's not like I was writing an article or even a sentence. I was transcribing ingredients. And I am pretty sure they were capitalized in the book. Sorry, I got on a little rant there.
I say "we" sometimes referring to my mom,son and DIL. We (two or more of us) sit at the table with our lap tops and do hits together so I can help them out.
What are the qualifications for the Jeffery Foster hits? I've been waiting all day and am just wondering if I am missing them or if they just won't pop up because I'm not qualified.
They're like the $10 hit.. They are posting so few that if you look it up 2 min after it posts it's gone.....
We emailed mturk and they stated directly that we can both have accounts in our household as long as their linked to different banking accounts. We use two different IP addresses on both accounts, then a VPN for browsing/banking/etc. So to answer to your statement it is not illegal for us both to have an account in the same house hold.
No, it just means that the hit counter is off on mturk and if it looks like there are 3 available hits listed, there aren't any. The recipe hits are great, I've never had a rejection. 30 cents each is a pretty good rate.
I most certainly did not say that y'all can't have two account in one house. What you wrote sounded like YOU were doing some of those HITs for her. (WE never touched...) I don't know how in the hell you got "two accounts in the same house is illegal" out of what I said. I specifically said HER account.
Sorry I'm in the middle of a batch and trying to keep up with the post on here also. I thought you were saying it was illegal to have two accounts in the same house old. She works on her own account and I work on my own account. However we work on batches together. She obviously doesn't turk as much as I do, but when there are huge batches posted we both knock them out.
Maybe I just got a bad recipe for my first one. Perhaps I should give poor Steve another chance. Glad to know you never had a rejection from him. That's what was stopping me from doing any more- the whole "fix this" issue but then it wasn't tied to my AMT account.

This $500 limit thing...I just don't get it. It doesn't make sense...why would you have to have a credit card when you have a checking, which is what almost everywhere uses as a single verification tool for accounts like Amazon payments? Did this used to be a rule, and it changed recently, or what? When I first read it, I thought it was just new people that didn't know what they were talking about, but now in two days I have seen two different workers that seem like they've been around for a while mention it. I only added a bank account, and have no limits...the thought of adding a CC never even crossed my mind...
