Only made $5 today and everything has dried up. I really hope things get better next week. The past few days haven't been great.

Seconded. And on that note I'm heading off :p Good luck to all of you staying on, and hopefully tomorrow is a bit more lucrative (however unlikely that may be!).

    Cheers

    Excellent advice!!!!

This is a link to a blog post written by an EXCELLENT Turker who goes by "frb". The link was provided to us by another excellent Turker who goes by the name "taintturk."

Anytime you get a reject that was unfair or unwarranted and the requester says they can't do anything about it send them here - or anytime you even get a rejection - refer the requester here. This is probably the best written advise about un-rejecting a HIT I've seen!

that is excellent to have a link to when a requester says they are unable to unreject but clearly tell you the rejection was in error. Nice find!

LOL! Don't thank me.. I was on my way to bed and just happened to be browsing some of the other threads and found it. The info is already here on mTurk Forum, just not where I would have expected to find it.

So cool that frb took the time to write it and taintturk took the time to post it! I know about the API - which is like impossible to explain to most requesters - but the website to reverse a reject is SWEET!!!!

I don't see any requesters actually using it, but it seems cool in theory.

No... Actually... A lot of requesters are new and don't know what they are doing. I have had some rejects where they apologized and wanted to fix it because they made an error. I didn't know what to tell them except the API solution - which is way beyond most peoples comfort level.

This will be great for that. They have the API solution already spelled out if they want it but then again they can use the auto site if it's up - everything is spelled out! (Thank you frb!!!). I've had 5 rejections. 3 have been reversed but it took a good bit of time on each one because of the hassle it takes to reverse a rejection on mTurk. The two I have remaining are from sh***y requesters that didn't even bother to respond to my emails. If I had had this blog post to send to the three that were dedicated to reversing the rejections it would have made it much easier on them and fast for me to get them off my record!

Maybe you're right, but my thoughts are more toward the rejections that actually make an impact; the big batch boys who stomp on your approval rating.

You're right in that if you have a requester who legitimately did not mean to reject your submission and truly wants to reverse that decision, this could be useful. I've just not come across such a requester in my time. I guess my point is that its applications seem limited.

Also Jon Brelig is still trucking with about 200 HITs between those links.

I so want to jump on the Redwood and the Brelig HITs to get my numbers up - but I'm tired and wanted to go to bed an hour ago!

Maybe I'll get lucky and they'll be there in the AM.

    G'Nite!
