I just got an email back from the Reality Tv guy. He said he is going to match up the zip codes I used. and that it should be okay

HELP!!!!!!! New usr to Mechanical Turk and NOT out to screw anyone. All of you are bombarding my e-mail box with the statement that there is no CODE at the end of the survey. I am getting all of your customer numbers so I am goign to try and pay you through those. I apologize for screwing this up but I don't want to screw anyone. If anyone has any advice I am open.

If I was you, I would take down the hit, until you fix the survey with a code. Or put in there that the zip codes have to match. But I am not really sure how the requester side works.

But thanks for Coming on here, and trying to reassure us. I hope you can get it fixed :)

Thanks for the correspondence. Just saw your email a few minutes ago that you sent me and it was indeed a speedy reply.

Not familiar with what to tell you on the technical side of things however I really appreciate your promptness regarding the issue.

    Thanks

( Removing the HIT until you've made correction would be recommended).

Definitely take down the hit immediately and sort out the ones you already have data for. Then find the problem in your hit. You could just add next to the zip at the end to enter users mturk ID also. This would solve seeing who did what. Hope this helps.

Registered just to say how impressed I am on how fast Jeffrey responded and dealt with it as quickly as possible. Nothing wrong with being new and mistakes happen. Thanks for such a quick reply through email/forums.

While I am at it, RWStein thanks for this thread. So endlessly helpful for a noob turker :)

In regards to the TO for Jeff's HIT, it's not really helpful because I don't think it's completely fair to judge the requester based on a code error. Upon closer inspection, I see that all the TO says the same thing about the code. They could've waited to see if they got rejected OR for any feedback from the requester before making those judgements...just my two cents that nobody asked for.

I apologize for my phrasing... "I hope I didn't just waste my time" would have been more accurate. Thank you for being on top of this.

    Awww. Schuks! Thanks!

But it ain't me! We have tons of contributors here daily. Many who are much more versed in mTurking than I... I'm just the idiot that is willing to try to get all this great talent in one place to maximize all our revenue! Must be the management streak in me!

In any event THANKS! for registering and please be sure to post any great HITs you find! As you get used to the interface on AMT you will find those great HITs sometimes before any of us do! So, find those juicy HITs and pass 'em on!

I usually post in my own thread but decided adding what I can to this one might make more sense. I love to contribute to the mturk forum community when I can. Collaboration=Success!
