I tried to use speech recognition software after developing severe tendonitis years ago. You had to speak really slowly, loudly, and enunciate--which isn't the common way of speaking on transcription HITs. Aside from that, you have to adapt it to the specific user--at least, the software I did had to be programmed in that way. I would think a transcription done with voice recognition would be pretty lousy.

They are stupid. Technically, to spell the letter "s", it's probably "es" or "ess". An ess would be correct. An survey, beyond stupid, since the s isn't a vowel sound. (basically people are dumb).

The gfx card worked at one point. Played war thunder and bf3 on max settings. Movrd and it doesnt work. The power commectors are all plugged in. The gfx cards fan is spinning and everthimg is where it should be. Idk the motherboard model but ill check tomorrow. I dont game anymore so its no big deal. Just esnt the max resolution.
My guess is that there's some kind of template or example hit when you're making a survey - the same reason so many of them have the "Template note: to veryify that workers complete the hit", etc etc. So someone at Amazon made a typo that has propagated to dozens or hundreds of templated surveys

Did you try the GPU on another desktop or have a different gpu that you can test on your rig. That's the easiest way I know to see if it's the card that's broken.
I dont think that they are necessarily "Stupid" many of the requesters have English as a second language. I will say that if they really want to be taken seriously by American turkers they should probably have one of their classmates, if they can, check their surveys. There is nothing worse than a survey that has all these warnings about getting AC's correct and then they cant even put together a proper English sentence.
I think the chipset/display driver will fix the resolution. PM me if you need more help tomorrow. I'll have to sleep on that graphics issue, not entirely sure. Last dumb suggestion for now, if the graphics card has multiple display ports on it, try them all. I'd also check out http://overclock.net and try starting a thread there, in the graphics forum. They can usually come up with an answer quick.

I've had the same feeling about surveys. They're allowed to make a lot of mistakes, but if we miss one attention check--too bad! (Not to sound bitter--I've only had one rejection due to a supposed failed AC--but I doubt I failed since I paid close attention, and distinctly remembered thinking the whole survey was ACs! ) I guess since they're paying, they make the rules, but it does seem a little hypocritical to expect perfection from us and not offer it in like kind.
Technically you can have 2 different sets of graphics installed (say, Intel and Nvidia ), so you can leave the installed GPU drivers. And yeah, just install the newest chipset drivers, restart. *sidenote- the computer knows to only use Intel drivers for the Intel graphics, same for Nvidia - so they don't conflict, and Windows simply ignores the drivers for the graphics not being used. source- done it before with Nv and Intel drivers installed on my desktop.
