This is what drives me absolutely insane about the CS HITs. It takes 20 or 30 seconds to load them and then if you're new like me and want to take another 10 seconds to listen to the audio to make sure that you can handle it then by the time you click to accept it, it's gone because someone else has taken it. Then, you have to start all over again and low and behold, it happens again. I've done quite well with the CS HITs but I have slacked off of them over the past few weeks for this reason alone because I got so frustrated with it. My scores have remained consistent enough that I am eligible to upgrade to reviewing but I haven't done it yet because of this. It seems like every step I take forward, I take two steps back.
May I ask when and how you find out if your are eligible to upgrade to reviewer? Is there a qualification somewhere to take or a grid of scores and metrics to reference? I feel your pain with the slow loading and not being able to accept the hit when you try to listen to some of it first. I usually just listen to the fist few words and if it sounds fairly clear and crisp I grab it.

I am not new but still have to return about half of the CS HITs these days. I think we just gotta enable auto accept and load 3-4 vids at the same time. This way, at least we can make enough money per hour to be able to stay motivated to work on these. Also, I can see beta testing HITs, for which I am not qualified, but they tend to load much quicker than regular HITs. I hope CS implements that system for all their HITs in future.
How did you qualify for them? I am still waiting to hear back from requesting qualification a month ago?
I do them if there's no other HITs to do and the audio is clear. Often the audio is bad quality and sounds muffled, I don't even bother on those.
