I found a great batch of HITs last night with decent pay and completed all 12. But on the HIT pages it stated that if you had completed even one HIT from a previous batch you could not do any hits in the batch I worked on. Is this is standard MO? Does that mean that I won't ever be able to do any of his HITs again? :(

Transcribing 10 short simple sentences from audio per HIT. Took me maybe 2 minutes, if that. Pay is .30 a HIT. None of them have been approved yet, but he has a good TO rating and comments on TO indicated pay within 24 - 48 business hours. I'm hoping mine will be approved/rejected sometime tomorrow.

I really enjoyed these HITs and don't like the idea of not being able to do them after doing the one batch. If I run across anything else from this requester I am going to double check, tho, to make sure I am understanding that statement correctly. (Hope I'm wrong! LOL)

    Hi there,

The specific group of batches is structured in such a way that if you do even 1 HIT from one batch you cannot do any HITs from a different batch of the same group (e.g. if you do a HIT from "Transcribe funny-sounding sentences - 2" you cannot do any HITs from "Transcribe funny-sounding sentences - 3", or "Transcribe funny-sounding sentences - 4" and so on). However, you can do as many HITs from the same batch (in this case "Transcribe funny-sounding sentences - 2") as you want (12 is the maximum).
Hope this makes sense. Please, let us know if you have any more questions.

By the way, we are glad to hear that you liked working on this :) We will have more studies coming up that will be completely independent from this group of batches. So, keep an eye for them ;-)
Thank you again for your help with our research!

Effie (on behalf of the McMurray lab)

I did all 12 and really wish I could do more of the same (if there were any available). Those were fun!! I will keep an eye out for more/different types of HITs from you. Thanks for your response!
