Took about 20 minutes. I took a few breaks so not positive but definitely not more than 25 minutes total and I didn't go very fast at all as it's a lazy Saturday. Pretty easy. "Many workers tend to quit a survey halfway, but if a sizable number of people quit the survey halfway, the data quality of that survey would be compromised. Our research depends on good quality data. Please make sure that you do not quit this survey until the end. Thank you!" If you're having this issue, is the problem the workers or the survey? If you've included a task that makes a lot of people quit when they see it, then you obviously aren't paying enough. Duh.
It also sounds like bullshit. How does people quitting halfway through corrupt the data? How is that different than deciding not to take it in the first place?

The pattern I've seen from requesters that do this is that they do NOT want to even hint about what the task in the survey is. So I'm guessing it is important to them that they get people who enjoy it, people who hate it, people who are good at it, people who suck at it, etc. If they came right out and told you that you're going to spend a forced 10 minutes coming up with novel uses for a toilet plunger then those who hate and/or suck at such tasks are going to read that, look at the pay, and move on. And they are only left with those who don't mind such tasks (or who are desperate enough to do it anyhow). A self-selection bias thing. Stanford GSB was making these pleas for a while, and the task was always some brainstorming task. Again, the solution is simple. Pay enough that when people who hate it see the task, they check to see what the pay was again, and decide to grit their teeth and do it anyhow. I hate writing, and I really hate writing about myself. But I once wrote an autobiographical essay for a requester. Because ten dollars.
