Got that rejection from yesterday (Colin J. Carey) reversed. Long essays to supervisors or IRB's are pretty successful if they have some logic. He claims his system automatically rejected my submission based on completion time yet there's other reviews with times below mine that approved. Imagine thinking 4.5mins on your 50 cent survey is "too fast" and programming your auto-rejection to reject everyone who completed your study faster than the equivalent of $2 / hour. Some of these people trying to get their piece of paper that makes them think they're smarter than everyone else really have no clue how to place themselves in others' perspectives. They're too tied up in their own vanity. I guess we're just their lab rats and worth nothing more. I went straight to his supervisor and IRB based on the reviews from a couple of months ago stating it took him 2 weeks to respond and it was a response of "too bad you went too fast" so I didn't figure I'd get anywhere talking to him. In my experience, these requesters don't care unless they know their responses are being watched. I concluded my email asking if he or his supervisor would be interested in working for $2 / hour. Glad its reversed. Just saying it honestly shouldn't come to that.
Glad you got that rejection reversed. Also glad I missed that survey so I didn't have to deal with all that. I noticed yesterday that his approval rate was only 75%. If you're rejecting one person in four, the problem isn't the workers, it is you.
