Hi here, I'm new to the world of 'turking and found this place rather quickly. I love the forum, it has some great information regarding the whole mechanical turk scene and I am grateful for all the help and advice I've managed to read here so far!

I've just been 'turking for the past week, finding my way around and gaining knowledge. So far I've earned $51 with around $20 of HITs awaiting approval.

I am aiming for a goal of around $600 to pay for a new DSLR camera, as I do not have the funds at hand to splash out.

So all in all this is a nice little hobby with a great reward at the end of it!

I will be looking forward to helping out as much as possible with you guys.

    Paul.

Just make sure you buy a Nikon. In case you buy a Canon, don't post it here. Else it will turn into a rage war b/w you and me :p :D

    Welcome aboard.

Welcome and good luck on the camera. Turking seems a great way to pay for the things we want =)

Bonjour from Paris! I love what you're saving up the $$ for. I love photography and would love a new camera for a DSLR camera myself. I'm saving up my $$ for a vacation at the end of summer. We both have the same goal. Maybe after my vacation I'll aim at saving for the DSLR too, if I have time with my school load. Best of luck at your turking this summer!
