I am new to M Turk,only been turking a few days.I really enjoy it a lot,and so glad I found this forum.I have been reading a lot of the post and the information has been priceless.I am taking it slow 74 approved hits so far.Any ideas on how to up my approved hits would be greatly appreciated.
Hi there, I am new, too I started Turking last Saturday. I can give you some noob advice which is go to the Scripts section of this forum. The ones I have found most useful are Turkopticon which allows you to review requesters and read others' thoughts on them. This is useful for avoiding poor requesters with bad track records. The other essential is the fake request finder - you will find sometimes you accept a hit only then to be told there's no work available, forcing you to return a HIT which affects your overall stats. This script will change the links to red so you know not to accept. I am sure other more experienced members will be in soon to help you out even more
Oscar Smith hits are very reliable at improving your acceptance rate. Use Turkopticon. It will tell you whether something seems like a scan or not. If it seems too good to be true, don't do it. Anything that requires you to sign up, log in, or give your email address is probably to be avoided.
+1, yes second that and don't do these type of hits 1) Those ask for likes in facebook page 2) Those ask for follow in Twitter 3) Those ask for voting a particular candidate. 4) Those ask for software to download.
