I've been doing some calculations. Every one of you have some daily goal and a plan how to achieve it. Ofc, it all depends on your standards and expectations. Some are very happy with making 2-3$ dollars a day, some 5$ or 10$ and some actually state (I never understood how they manage to do this and is it true they are making so much o_O) that they don't accept any job if it doesn't pay them at least 6$ (or 8$) per hour (!).

Whenever I see job that I can work on regular (not one time survey- I don't count that) like Oscar Smith type of work I calculate how much time I need to finish one HIT and how much $$$ that would give me per hour. And I always find the same - most jobs pay from 1$-2$ per hour of focused work.

If you can do, lets say 40 Oscar Smith's HIT's her hour (I can do one per minute and a half, maybe you can do more I dunno?) that can't make you more than 0.8 cents per hour or 1.5 dollars if you are trusted worker (5c x 40).

Other jobs, like Claritrans transcriptions (that I likely do), Castingwords and others also give average 1,5 $ per hour as I noticed.

I can't say that's always true. In the period of 4-9 July I did many NetMsi porn description HIT's and I made 10$-14$ per hour on them which I found amazing.

I would be very pleased if you could tell me any job that I you can work on regular that pays 2.5$ + per hour. I'm not saying 1.5$ per hour is bad since for 8hours of daily work I could earn 12$ (which is average daily earning in my country). It's just that I lost motivation for these low paid jobs when NetMsi went dry.

What do you consider by real? I don't think that just randomly accepting HIT's with no plan leads you to making constant daily earnings. How much that pays you per hour when you finish the day and consider how much you worked?

Im yet to get lucky and catch the netmsi stuff... I got them followed though, but i havent got any emails yet.

So iv been doing nothing but the small stuff and yea like you said...anywhere from 1 dollar to 3 an hour. Just depends on what is available.

Im still learning though and getting quicker at finding the right HITS to do.

Depends on the day. Some days I find that I make $10/hour, other days only $4-$5. Entirely depends on what requesters have hits posted.

I don't necessarily track my hourly wage for the whole day, but if there is a large batch of hits for a requester that I'm unfamiliar with, I'll do a 5 minute "test batch", and figure out how much I could make in an hour if I continue those hits. If it's only like $3, then my time could probably be better spent doing other work.

The last few days I have been just turking from my iPad as I lay down and watch tv too. Since Chrome is now on the ipad, I can do most hits that way (no scripts though) - But I dont want to embrass myself with how much I make an hour.. I am just grinding here and there to earn $$ for a new Laptop (MacBook!)

I am averaging about $5 a day (I only got released from the HIT limit yesterday). It might not seem worth it, to some, but the alternative is earning zero. We just moved to a new country and vastly underestimated the living costs so we're just not able to save every month (we're scraping through on pasta and rice for two weeks a month as it is!) I see Turking as my best way of ensuring my kids have Christmas this year! Plus, I like feeling I am contributing, even just a little. I hope to progress with transcribing work and eventually earn more through that.

you see what I'm talking about? You say that your average is 4$-5$ per hour and you won't work for 3$ per hour... and interneteditor in last post say he aims for 5$ a day.

What jobs you do that pays you 5$-6$ on hour?? I check HIT's on Mturk every day and I tried many requesters. If I know I could make sure 3$ per hour I would work 8 hours a day on that kind of HIT's.

You have to develop a list of requesters that you are familiar with, that are known for posting large batches of hits. Andy K, Edward Kohler, NetMSI, Medallia, Wildfire Interactive... those are requesters that when they post hits, usually do it by the thousand. They'll pay anywhere from 1 cent to 5 cents each, but you can knock out 150-500 of them in an hour.

Right now as we speak I'm doing a test batch for a requester named Jesse J Chandler... 10 cents each, and I've already done about 50 of them in the past half hour.

Nice. I heard of many you said but never had it going on good expect for Netmsi for which I used to knock out even 700 a day. Thanks for sharing unselfishly.

If you are still new to turk you might not have all of them opened up for you. Many requesters require that you have 1000 approved hits before their work is available to you. Not sure if you're at that point yet or not.

No problem! Just be willing to do everything that presents itself, and don't ignore those penny hits entirely! If there is a large batch, do a couple of them... if you can finish a 1 or 3 cent hit in about 5-15 seconds, might as well crank out a bunch of them. You'd be surprised at how quickly those low-paying, but FAST hits can add up. If those 1-3 cent hits take more than 15 seconds, it's best to move on to something better in my opinion.

I currently have 787 approved HITS and am grinding my way up the penny jobs to 1,000 :) I hope there is a LOT of work I can do after that :D

You have to do at least 3 HITS on 10 days for the limit to be lifted (and to get paid).

For me, there wasn't "a LOT" more after 1000. For various reasons, I'm very picky and choosy about which HITs I wanna do. After I hit 1000, I did of course gain access to more HITs, but still, only a fraction of them really interest me. So in my case it was not a big 'jackpot'. ;-) (That's OK, I'll happily continue concentrating on the few types of HITs that I enjoy most.)

I don't bother with anything that pays less than $4.80 an hour that's my basement amount.. which is 1x 0.08 hit a minute. So if a hit pays 0.02 i have to be able to do at least 4 a minute, 0.04s at least 2 a minute etc. Same for surveys if it pays 0.80 then it has to take 10minutes or less.. That's my system and it works for me

Transcription pays $3 per hour but you need skills for that.
