hello out there, i am just getting started in the mturk world. i know little and less about this and am wondering if there is a website that lists the ways to do jobs for requesters. also is there a trouble shooting guide for workers when you do not do something in the requesters required format. for example the requester required that the worker copy a web address and include the http:// in the web address but what they were asking me to copy did not have such an animal. needless to say i ran out of time and well that really looks bad i have gathered. please excuse my ignorance and thank you for any help.

Some requesters, mainly the transcription ones, will provide a link to a style guide that can help you complete their HITs. If the instructions for a HIT are unclear, you can send them a message and ask for help.

" http:// in the web address but what they were asking me to copy did not have such an animal."

You have to manually type in http:// and then paste the web site address into the field. Or paste the address in there and insert the http://

There are tips throughout the threads but if you have a specific question about a HIT, feel free to ask.

I don't know of many places that have specific info about completing different requester's HITs. I would say the best thing is to just create a thread in here when you have a question and I'm sure you'll get lots of help.

+1, Mayhem said it right. Just ask your questions about a particular requester, you will get help for sure :)
