I've submitted something close to 1000 HITs and goeetn about $70. I've found that a lot of the system is spammy, or not worth doing for the money offered. There are a few that one who is good and fast can make something like $10 an hour, but they are few and far between.

One of the things I realized while doing some of these hits is that folks are paying you to review products which you may or may not have used. They don't care if you are familiar with the product or service or not -- just so you give it a good review. I think this is pretty unethical. I know if I look up a product review for lets say .... a vacuum cleaner .... I want an []objective, unbiased review , not a review that was paid for. That really bothers me. I reviewed a coffee maker that I own and use as well as a dishwasher that I own, but I would not want to review something that was unfamiliar to me.

I almost crushed my computer from one Hit. The Requester said to install some program but the program was full of Mallwares, Trojans. It took me one hour to clean up my PC.

I saw that also, they have you visit a site then you must install their software. You may wish to report these to amazon using the link in the bottom right side of the hit.

I had the same thing happen to me. I was really weary of one search program for Firefox and I wont do toolbar hits.

That's why I use Linux. I can run a program in a virtual Windows machine without exposing my computer to any threats.

I have seen the hits that require you to download some program, I don't take that kind of chances with my computer. I have downloaded the pdf and have had a trojan running, trying to get access to my adobe programs.

You may have to wait as long as 30 days, as Amazon gives requesters that long to do approvals before they step in and auto-approve everything. It would be nice if requesters would add a note to their HIT descriptions saying, "This HIT will be approved or rejected within..." however many hours, days or weeks they intend to take.

I would suggest from experience not down loading a program that is not from a trusted source. I have also had an experience where my system blocked a page that I was searching for a requester. Luckily it forewarned me it was blocking the page due to malicious attack. I was using Fire Fox for a Browser. I am not sure if Netscape or explorer have this same ability.

I've also had FF warn me a few times about different pages I was going to and I would just skip the hit. Also, I refuse to do any hits where I have to download anything. I also do not review anything that I have not personally used.

I like doing the hits for like .10 or .15 and do a lot of them usually their just copy and paste and you could even watch TV or listen to music. It something to do when your bored.

Considering to add "Honesty and" before "Confession" and replacing "is" by "are" in my quote below ;)

I found a book on Amazon recently where it was clear that 4 out of the 5 reviews were a rewritten version of the first review. I wouldn't be surprised if someone had it done as a rewrite HIT on Amazon's own MTurk.

    Caveat emptor.

I would like to do some of the "mindless clicking" that other people talk about. I haven't found anything to do that I don't think about.

Maybe that is why I get maybe twenty 3cent HITs done in an hour, while other people say they are getting paid six dollars an hour for the same thing.
