Hey guys, this is my 11th day turkin (on and off, missed one day entirely), and I just wanted to see if I'm on the right track. Here are my stats so far:

So far I've earned 111.50, with 23.19 pending.
I've submitted 1564 HITs with 1430 approved and 0 rejected

Not sure how the cashflow is for a beginner, but any tips regarding turkin in general would be much appreciated. Thanks guys!

I do not have any tips for you that you probably haven't already heard, but your stats look 10x better than my first 11 days.

Nice work! And even better, with your interest in improving. :)

Here's my post from my 10th day. I didn't know it at the time, but I guess I was already working toward the low-volume, high hourly rate philosophy I use now.

Thanks! Dollar wise we were pretty similar :) Any tips since you've been at it for a little bit?

I would say that for where you are, the tips I posted in my first-10-days thread above still hold.

I ended up graduating to doing almost all transcription and writing when I Turk. What types work for you will definitely depend on what you find you like doing and can do quickly. You're off to a great start, though. :)

That's a question I was actually going to ask: do you have to do some form of transcription on turk to be successful money wise? I would really prefer not to, but there are definitely a lot of HITs for that area.

In my first 11 days I made $77.62 so you have me beat! I had to look back at my status page from March 2012.

    (jbird, cute avatar!)

Sorry I haven't been back to answer your question!

It's true that it gives you plenty of options when you include transcription work in your Turking. And I know there's at least one member with the Masters here making $100 to $200 a day, who says that transcription HITs are a regular part of what he does on Turk.

Does that mean you have to? Probably not. Lots of folks have done pretty well with batch HITs or following the Great HITs thread, or by finding some other specialty on Turk. I think the key doesn't have to be what kind of work you do while Turking, but how good and fast you can be at the work you choose. :) Plus, working at something you don't like is always a good way to burn out on anything. So if you don't want to get into transcription, sounds to me like you could do other things and still be successful.

    Good luck!
