Can Anyone tell how to get Qual as the qualification request does not seemingly working.
Hi everyone -
We're limiting the number of workers on our qualification batches to give us time to evaluate everyone. To anyone who requested the 0 qual after we released yesterday's batch, we'll add you to the list for next time. Thanks for your patience!
can we use Google plus pages to verify restaurant if there is a a post within 6 months ?
Can i please tell me the procedure to get a qual. I have pm ed my worker ID .
Just a heads up, the KFC site's locator is producing error messages this morning.
Taco Bells was too
Yea, that one too.
An interesting update to the Casey's discussion from a while back:
They should make it so that the "not a restaurant" button is independent of the closed/open options. Then you could still report whether or not something is still open regardless of whether or not its a restaurant, and it wouldn't be as big of a deal.
I think if it's not a restaurant they're not interested in any data about it
Sure, but if its something that's borderline, then its better to have that information.
wrong thread sorry
When is the next qual 50 hits to be released ?
there should be a 50 qual batch for the late night turkers just a suggestion
Just wanted to check on a couple of things.
Some restaurants for do not put their actual complete address on their "Official Website" anywhere. I've found just the city/state, the crossroads, or missing zip code. I've been adding a second link. Most of the time it is just the google link with the full correct address noticeably showing. Also if the original site puts the address at a crossroads I've been putting that as a Address 2 since when it is listed on a website it is usually listed as something like:
100 1st Street
(Corner 1st and 2nd)
Xyz, XY 00000
Basically if a Official Website page is missing info I add a second link with missing info, Facebook or Google Search Page.
Some address have 2 valid addresses for the same exact location. (Not valid postal addresses.) Just for example some older people still give their address on Kennedy Blvd in Tampa, Fl as Hwy 60, FL 60 or SR 60 when giving directions. Other cities I've noticed have the same problem. I've been putting the address that is on "Official Website" if it is a complete address.
If a restaurant has an official website I always skim the google address search looking for the word "Closed". If Yelp or another really popular site reports it closed but it is still listed on an official website I check "Closed/Not enough info" unless I can find information that it has had a "re-opening" or been renovated recently.
Edit: Also I've run across Yelp pages that have an incorrect website listed as an "Official Website". Just FYI.
Everything you're doing sounds reasonable. The one thing I would caution against is putting directions in the address fields. While it's intuitive (and I appreciate the detail you're providing!) it actually makes the address less useful to us. Just advice for going forward. Thanks!
i had a Starbucks for one of the listings but the store look was not working i just used the yelp info is that ok ?
Please add me .
Im not the requetser. You might want to delete your info from that post. Your suppose to pm taste the world not me.
Mr. Taste of the World,
Are you planning on putting up any Korean restaurant batches again? I really enjoyed those. I have the qual for your current batches, but was just curious if you plan to revisit Korea.
Is there a possibility of a 0 qual batch coming out anytime soon?
Greetings TOTW, I would love some guidance on how you would like listings with +4 ZIP code data to be handled. In this latest batch I have already seen several listings with xxxxx-xxxx, but the official site and/or search info only lists the 5-digit ZIP. My inclination is to remove the +4 on such listings because a) the restaurateur/chain are themselves listing an official address with only a standard ZIP and b) we are not at the point yet where a +4 is required to contact people, better to go with the known-good data. Obviously if a known-good source lists a detailed ZIP I would verify/include it.
If a zip+4 is included in the original listing and you can only verify the first 5 digits, there's no need to remove the last four.
if a location has moved do you want us to put the new location or just mark it as closed /not enough info?
Could you say when another 0 qual batch will be posted for the TOTW hits? ThANKS
All that hard work... just to hear that ToTW may not be issuing new quals?! Ouch. Guess I'll be checking this thread, daily, to see if there has been any change.
