Zillow has been amusing me lately. I live in a very mixed area: there is public housing within a block, but the house across the street recently sold for $500K. Ever since that house sold the Zillow "value" of my house has been going up $10K a month. I assume at some point the value will "crash" once that sale gets too old to be considered. Shame it isn't like the stock market. Just click the "sell" button when the value peaks.
The house I rented last year was estimated at 2100 a month on Zillow but we were paying 2650. I was not happy when I saw that.
Maybe you need to come here. I manage property as well and you can rent out an entire 7 bedroom mansion in our historic district for $2,500 a month
Well that was last year and it was mainly my roommates who wanted the house. I just signed the lease for them and went along with it for 3-4 months. I quickly realized I did not need all that space though. I am currently just renting out a room for 300 a month with internet and electric included and full access to the rest of the house so I am pretty comfortable where I'm at at the moment. I'll keep you in mind though if I decide to leave lol
Where exactly is this Lucas? There's gotta be a catch to living there. What's the downside is beer $30 a six pack?

Where I live, if you can still find a rental, $1600 will get you just a 1-bedroom apt. New building is opening soon with a $3000 rent. Average home is about $500,000. Down in the city, fugeddaboutit. I imagine it's high by you, Flora.

It all depends on location. Living in the middle of no where gets you cheaper than in the cities. Average rent for 1 bedroom apt is about $800 where I am.

Had one HIT earlier today that said "We have a FREE gift card reward to random participants valued at $50.00 or more." So I go do the survey to test it out and turns out it's a gift card but not really, $25 off your purchase to a unknown shopping site. It listed fake glorying feedback from satisfied buyers.
