I would have been uncomfortable with that. Sure it could be innocent, but preparing for the worst, there's no real way to know of anyone's intentions, especially these days.

I hate it when the United States is way on the bottom of the loooong list. I recall someone saying the quickest way is to start typing 'Un'...and it'll bring it up. I'm always glad when there's a list to scroll for the state you live in, mine is right up front without having to scroll down.

I've had mixed luck with that. "Un" sometimes works (although it is more likely to get you to United Arab Emirates, which is at least close). Sometimes hitting that "n" will make the list jump to Namibia or something though if it is crappily coded. Like starting to type "North Carolina" and seeing New Hampshire, Ohio, Rhode Island, Tennessee... flicker past. Also fun is when they ask for nationality and you see a huge list of country names with the US missing. Because they put it in the list as "American". But the other nationalities are not French, Spanish, etc.
