Anyone ever try turking by dialup? Something seems to have broken on my wifi setup. The connection speed keeps dropping to "1 Mbps." Well, that is what windows is displaying. I suspect that is just the lowest it can display, because at times transfer speeds are dropping to about a tenth of that. Then ever so often it jumps to 72 Mbps and I get 30 seconds of fading bliss as it drops back down again. The older I get the more I hate technology.
We've gone so far I can't imagine going back to dialup! Technology sucks sometimes because we don't understand it when something goes wrong.
How old is your router? My old router,maybe 2 or 3 years old at the time was the problem when I was having the same issues as you described. I bought a new one and everything went back to normal.
Pretty new. It is built into the modem AT&T made me buy. Not sure if it is the router or my computer's wifi adapter. Testing on my ancient phone was inconclusive. I only get 6 Mbps from my ISP, so it's not like I need it super fast or anything. Just >= 6. Going to find my old router and see if I can get it to work.
I hope you can get it back to working properly. Nothing worse than slow internet when you're trying to make some money.
