Ugh, so I did WSOVC COM's HIT Have a picture of your city? Get paid for it in this easy HIT. (except some cities, see HIT description) Must be good focus, that pays $1.02 and I got an email saying that my picture was not in good focus and to resubmit another picture, and that I only get 2 days or they will reject my hit. So, I submitted another picture, and the same message was sent to my email. ALL OF THE PICTURES THAT I SENT WERE IN GOOD FOCUS! So what do I do? I don't want to get rejected, I really don't know WHAT THEY WANT. All of the pics I've sent ARE in good focus. Help?!

What size is the picture? It could be that you are sending in a picture that is too small and when they look at it it becomes pixelated and looks out of focus. Pm me if you want me to check your photo in Photoshop.

Hello, I just wanted to provide some background information on this as the requester.

The most common reason for getting the bad focus message is because the picture was taken with a cell phone, and/or digital zoom was used. Some cameras themselves are dogs too, but usually it's the cell phones that are the problem.

The easiest way to avoid this is to submit pictures taken with devices that take photo/video as their primary function and turn off the digital zoom (which is a good rule of thumb anyways).

Also, another poster touched on it, but the minimum long side pixels on an image is 1000 pixels.
We see pictures that have 250-300-350 pixels on the long side, which is TINY.

We do send out a message to allow the worker to submit a different picture in order to get the HIT approved, instead of outright rejecting the HIT. The time frame is anytime after 48 hours from submission of the initial photo, the final rejection can come.

Any time we reject a photo, or a bad photo is replaced by another one, we never use those photos in our project.

Finally, current statistics show that 38% of our rejections are due to poor focus, 19% are due to being too small, and 10% are due to people in the photograph.
