I am a long-time mutual fund investor, and I invested in a handful of individual stocks in the past 2 years. I've converted most of my CDs to stocks because of the crappy interest rates. I'm definitely a buy-and-hold stock investor.

I'd like to invest specifically in bio-tech or green energy or something like that, but I'm hesitant. I wonder if anyone here has that experience?

    Like Foodstamp, I like dividends.

    Dividends are real.

They're not just for widows and orphans any more.

I am a very long time stock holder and mutual fund invester. Much held in 401k accounts, one Roth IRA and a regular trading account. As I "mature" I am investing in more and more dividend paying stocks. For years I have automatically transferred $50 from my daily cash into the regular trading account (weekly).. adds up to a bit here and there for more speculative investing. I also invest in a personal loan funding account.

Used to but then lost it all. Now I do forex only. Will probably go back to stocks and options with a lot less money again.
