Default something that really bugs me

i just got a rejection because i failed a "consistency" test. the fact that my answers didn't seem consistent according to some test doesn't mean i wasn't giving my full effort. i take hits very seriously. there are times when inconsistency just shows that there are many gray areas involved and i didn't feel strongly towards one choice over the other; few things in life (or hits) are black and white. the problem is that all my time and effort was wasted. it's one thing for a requester to withhold a potenital bonus because (s)he feels work was not up to par. but to get zero compensation, plus a rejection on my record, in return for my effort is just not fair. this is one of the flaws of M-turk; it's often an all-or-nothing proposition and rejections, i've learned, are one-sided and sometimes unjustified.

addendum to my own post: "rejection comment read: failed consistency test and/or validity criteria." it's just not fair.

Try sending the requester a message and explain what you said in your top post. It makes sense. We tend to think differently or change our thinking as we answer questions. I do that too. Sometimes after I'm done, I wonder to myself, was I consistent with my answers? We shouldn't be thinking like that just because they want us to be consistent. We just go with our feelings at the moment.

I wager 500 quatloos that the requester in question was Jill Athenour.
