I just find the directory, and use it. Almost all schools will have one and the ones that don't normally have a search option just for people.
wow got another "Thread: Can't find good HITs... You are a whore, though. Post a pic of you in your lingerie, would you? lol" um about the lingere, it is a top teir qual assignment, i would NEVER post somethign like that in a forum or online period. you shoudl pay more attation to the topic of convo or leave your self out of it. enter the bad rep, meh who cares.
I usually just search school then staff directory, for example (Arizona state staff directory) and leave it open in the tab next to the class schedule tab that is already open. Works for me, not sure how others do it.
I do a google search for "-University Name- course schedule" then I choose the semester and subject, and then search for the specific class and its instructor. Really simple.
In case anybody doesn't know how to get the full URL from this post - just hit Reply With Quote under turkandrooster's post and cut / paste the URLs from there.
I'm all for posting lingerie pics. I have a nice one of me drunk in my ex-gfs bra that always draws a laugh........
I think they started the rep system because we tend to thank posts that are funny instead of just helpful posts, and so they needed something that would show who post helpful stuff. idk though. just assuming. and I agree. this forum makes turking better. People are giving rep/taking rep for no reason so it's making this rep system a little pointless (well im guilty of doing it now but it was to make up for the bad rep you and naisybee got.). Guess no one can say christmas bonus now without getting bad rep...!hahaha the other day people were saying sexual terms though so i dont get it. oh well. I think this person was just "spamming" the rep system though for no reason.
thats basically what i do, im just wondering if im doing it to slow whats your average? i think im spending to much time on it, over thinking.
Another option which is much simpler (at least to me), is to right click on the link, and choose "copy link address" I don't think it's Chrome-specific, but the wording of the choice may be different in other browsers.
It doesn't take me more than a minute to do the Rubins that are for teachers. Yeah I was slow as a snail at first, but after maybe 10 your brain goes into autopilot and you'll be amazed how fast you can do them and accurately.
i agree, and for some reason i mean i knwo i only got 5 hours of sleep and about 15 this week but i have NO recolection of me posting pictures of me in my lingere on here, so if I did I apologize, it was HIT related, hmm I wonder if that would add to the media part of my top teir qual? this is a joke no pictures where ever posted
here's what i do: i use chrome and have two windows open, side by side tabs with the HIT and the course catalog on one, and the faculty directory on the other i highlight the last name of the instructor and drag it into the other window to search then i click the hit tab and highlight and drag all the instructor info to the hit then submit
Do you prefer dragging over keyboard shortcuts? I personally feel like dragging slows me down. Maybe it's because I'm using a trackpad and not a mouse.
What I do is accept like 10-15 at a time from the same 2 or 3 universities and keep those in my queue, then just bust them out. I only do the colleges that are easy to navigate, so it probably takes about 1, 2 minutes tops for each HIT. When I'm low, I just reload my queue with only those universities until I can't find any more.
i find it depends on what it is for the course hits i use keyboard shortcuts i copy and paste both the course number and name together i ctrl-x (cut) the number from the name and ctrl-v (paste) it into the name box then i just switch back to the school tab and copy the school url and paste it into the box i used to do this but i find that it wastes too much time skipping through hits trying to find your unis instead i just have most of the uni's stuff open and auto accept them that way you can actively do HITS and have a 24 cache of them at all times
Oh! Just remembered something about rep. If a user is below a certain number of posts (Or a rep level, not sure which,) the rep that they post will not count. You can see the comment, but it does not affect your overall number or your rep level. These reps show up as gray. Here is the color breakdown: Green = Positive (Should be obvious enough) Red = Negative (Same as above) Gray = Did Not Count
