My daughter set up a bunch of add-ons to help me. I have TurkMaster but I only somewhat understand it right now. But that's fine for the time being. I agree I am just going to familiarize myself with the general system first and take it slow. Thanks to everyone for being so welcoming and encouraging.
You'll learn more with time, don't worry. Take it slow and don't hesitate to ask any questions (maybe more than once if you don't get answered right away, as things sometimes move pretty quickly around here). Welcome to the crazy.
I know my dad always worried about us kids because his mother's family were all alcoholics and the theory was (is?) that it skips a generation. I don't know if that had anything to do with my brother and I being drinkers or if we would have been drinkers if we hadn't had that family history. I kind of think we would have been anyway. I haven't been able to drink all week. But that's because I had to choose between paying my internet bill or buying beer and the internet won.
Try disabling the script, reload mturk dashboard, then enable it and see if that helps. Also, which one are you using? There are a few and I use two, one that updates when I click it and the other that updates with the database (won't give you that problem but takes a minute to update)
Mturk is definitely good for extra spending money. Even if you don't plan to do this as a full-time thing, there's almost always something around to make some extra cash. The surveys are always improving (at least technically ), some requesters seem to be trying to pay proper rates, and if Amazon ever puts some effort into Mturk it could become a great resource. Sorry, I'm rambling. But it's good to see new, positive people around. Hope you like it here!

It's been a while since I've been around. Not seeing a few of the the "old" (relatively speaking) faces. Kanna, Monica, Bear. Well I saw Bear here a week or so ago, so there's that. I hate when the people I knew and liked end up fading away, though. Saw Apaullo, but he's everywhere.
