Hi Everyone! I just returned from a movie theater. No, I did not see Star Wars. I was doing a job. I learned some interesting info, and thought I'd pass it along. This was a large national chain theater, in a pretty populated area. The manager said that the busiest time for them is Christmas Day through New Year's Day. It makes sense, since kids are off from school, and many workers take time off too. So, I was planning on seeing Star Wars during that period of time, but now I'm changing my plans. Might go this Tuesday, or after January 1st. Still, if you decide to go during the busy time, if your theater has a lot of showings it may not be too bad. This one was showing it 30 times today, in various screens, 3D or not, etc. I went into 3 auditoriums just before the show started and they were between 50%-70% full, for the 6:30-7:10 PM shows. I hope this info is interesting to someone.
I don't understand! If they were going to stop, why did they bother to address the slow load time? If that was their last batch, why didn't they just say "Oh well, deal with it"? I neeeeeed to know. I'm too type-a for the unpredictable nature of turking. I NEED to KNOW.
I was able to get last minute tickets on opening day and friday, all the showings had six plus seats still available
you know better regardless of a requesters schedule, never bet on them to be there or to give you the same pull tomorrow. every day is a new day on turk.
Welp, I was hoping to have a triumphant return to MTurk, as well as the forum, after almost a year away from it, but instead hopping back on and responsibly updating all my information to current has caused Amazon to close my Payments account due to being suddenly unable to verify my identity. Wheeeeeee. If anyone has any ideas about how to get this reversed, I'd love to hear 'em. Otherwise, keep turking the good turk, turkletons. Thanks for all the help over the years.

It is definetly worth it imo, its nothing like the 3d when avatar came out. Its literally crystal clear 4k at the regal I went to at least, theres no longer any blur to the 3d images with glasses on anymore I guess it could depend on the hardware the theater is using, if its old or not
Everyone with an account from 2012 recently had to go through re-verification. Perhaps they can give you more insight on that. edit: I meant some from 2012.
