How do I keep from accepting a HIT I've already done

How does everyone check to see if they've done a HIT before? I've only been doing this about 10 days now, but I can already see I need a better way to check.

When I see a new HIT, I've been going back to my Dashboard and checking each days completed HITS to see if I've already done it. It's time consuming to check the list for each day to make sure I'm not doing the same HIT twice! Any suggestions on an easier method?

Same here, I have an excel spreadsheet that I use to keep track.

If you do not have Excel, google docs also has a spreadsheet that's easy to format. I've stopped doing surveys because most of them don't build in a check-system for repeat accepters.

I just started recently but I've started a word document. I guess Excel makes more sense though. I'm so dorky! LOL

Thanks for the replies! It's a shame Amazon doesn't have some better features built into the TURK part of their business. The shopping is so easy and user friendly.

Hey, can anyone post an example of their spreadsheet so I can see what it looks like? I'm interested in creating one, and could use some imput. Thank You.

I was going to make a mock-up on google docs but I can't get it to load on my POS.

    Column A, row one: Date
    Column B, row one: Requester
Column C, row one: Title to HIT
    Column D, row one: Compensation
    Column E, row one: notes

Start filling in at row two.

You will be able to use Tools to sort (I believe it's under Tools). You want to tell it to take row on as a header row. You'll be able to sort by the values in each of the columns, even more than one column in a single sort. Descending column A, ascending column B = most recent, alphabetized

With quick formulas you can have your earnings per day laid out, with more complex formulas you could enter a heading for time spent and decide if it was worth the final payout with color coded values.

Spreadsheets are wonderful if you take the time to set them up and learn how to use them. I'm sorry I can't show you one.

I'm in the same boat. I have to skip most of them. Some of them do have questions built into their surveys now that ask if you've taken it before. One of the answers is usually "I don't know/can't remember".

Maybe since the requesters are catching on that it's hard for turkers to remember, mturk will add a feature that lets us/requesters check before you accept. Doubt it though.
