  1. Are you talking about these guys?

  2. I have heard of this stuff happening on ebay, but not amazon. Was there any recourse you could do to fix it?

  3. Nope. And it was for 4 pair of SMS Syncs so I was out just under a grand! And Amazon did nothing!

I said fuck it and started turking. Live and learn.

Ebay at least makes them ship it back but if they file the complaint through PayPal then they don't.

  4. Yup. That's them. But that isn't the portal they sent via email. There was some qual type of HIT two days ago for .10 or something like that. They sent an email this morning to sign up for their platform.

If I would sell on Amazon I would do fulfilled by amazon (FBA) you spend a little more but then your item ranks higher on search results and Amazon will know if they sent it. You wont have to worry about a-hole customers

  6. I would have taken them to a local court over that, small claims can be amazing for bitch slapping big companies. They have to hire a lawyer out there or send on of their on a plane. Most times they even immediately settle JUST to avoid it.

  8. Been there, they still don't HAVE to pay. I'm still waiting on a settlement from a previous emeployer from 1996.

  9. This is the only way to go I think. Anytime Amazon has their name on it you can't even leave negative feedback. They protect themselves from everything.

    Hindsite and all that jazz.

  10. I don't mind having other ways to make money. But instead of making a "2 week survey". If they wanted new workers for their platform why didn't they just say so? Seems a little weird to me. I'll still do it, but I wish they just would have been straightforward about what their real intentions were.

  11. Though we may not open a large scale application cycle anytime soon, if you're interested, sign up here and we'll be in touch.

  12. I have no clue about what they want to do. It seems like some type of social science / equality / fair pay type of thing to me. But it is tied in with Computer Science at Stanford so maybe it's something to do with AI? Who knows. All I know is they pay well and never reject.

But I agree I would much rather know how long term of a project it might be.

Damn, now it's saying registration closed.

Also did anyones Anthony's get reversed? Mine didn't. I'm going to email him again.

  14. Stanford HCI?

  15. I did a qual HIT a few days ago that paid a few cents and may open up the ability to work on the platform once you put in some demographic info. I don't know if you can join it without having done that hit because when I did tasks on the daemo platform this morning they were all under my worker ID.

The daemo site. I went to register and it said it was closed.

  17. That sucks, did you get an email from them?

No, I was just trying to jump on the bandwagon.
