I think this is Either the best joke or saddest stories I have ever Heard in My life . . . Spoiler
Was 2002 at 28, we had a computer lab for Oregon Trail I don't even know if schools would have been able to have internet pre '92 when I graduated.
I still remember 1 night at a Pirate party was playing on new machine and I was so Young, got mad because I died and broke the Controller below and back then it's not like You go to best buy and just pick up another, odd I didn't get punished after that . . .
2000's Really let me see I was born in 1982 and exposed to computers in 1982 . . . I used to play that game Oregon Trail at home Cool Game (Never Beat it always Died) . . .
I liked to ford the river no matter how wide or deep it was. No way I was coughing up the cash for an indian guide or a ferry.
Really now. I object to this ageist poll! I've been using the internet for about 10 years. I had to teach myself the hard way--with a goodly amount of help from people like y'all (whether you knew you were teaching me or not, you did). When I graduated from UT in 1970, computers were big 'ol grey metal machines the size of trucks in the basement of the UT Tower. No one carried one around to class....or any where else. We were allowed slide rules for class.......I feel I'm excluded from your poll.....as usual.(still sponging information off y'all, though.)
It's Somewhat Funny to think about now but when MY SON was Born my cellphone was Dead So I Picked Up the Laptop To Record, So I guess You could say 1 of the First things he ever saw or touched was a Computer . . .

When I was in elementary school, the father of a good friend of mine worked for Wang Labs (remember them). B/c of his job, the company gave him a computer to bring home. It was a huge teletype machine which took up about 1/2 of their kitchen table. After school, we would play Oregon Trail on it for hours (the other game involved having to try to come up with 2 word commands to try to get a clown to do things . . . almost whatever you typed, it would say "I do not know what that is" - we thought we were cool because we would type in things like "hit self", "go pee", "go poop," "fart loudly" - we would then rip the paper off the machine because we were afraid of getting in trouble for using such bad words." A couple of years later, Apple 2+ came out, my parents got one and I remember playing Oregon Trail on that. Now, you can play Oregon Trail on an iphone . . . funny, how that game has stayed around
