If you have another job besides turking, even if it's online, then you're employed. You do Prolific and other surveys, so you're self-employed as a freelance contractor. No, I'm not joking. Your home office is your workplace.

I usually count mturk as long as it doesn't specifically say a job outside mturk or some other employment requirements.

Yes I know it's afternoon here.

 

How do you not hit 5 dollars after almost 3 hours? I don't have masters or many quals and I can generally get 40 a day working 4-5 hours. I'm not sure what hits you're doing, but I don't know if i would bother if it took me that long!

I've been self-employed in my own business for over 30 years, and I do my own taxes and set up my own insurance. We're considered "freelance workers" or "independent contractors."
