Can't Find Apocalyptic HITs? 11/29 Day 22... It's a Trap Tuesday!

I can't believe I have to spend probably two more hours on this hit in the morning.

 

You guys talking about the $60 Self Loathing HIT?

 

I see from their TO that they reject as well, I'm about to just return it and cut my losses. fuck $3 an hour

 

I actually like the Self Concept hit. We're talking about the 9 dollar SCN survey you have to take at two different times. The first part already took way longer than they said it would so I'm not too hopeful going into part two in the am.

 

If I have something better to work on I'll probably do the same in the morning.

 

Haha! I didn't mind it so much either, my issues were with it messing up the whole time. I am hoping to snag it, I just wanted to make that joke.

 

Also I was following the mturk crowd forum for info on that vacation qual and shit is crazy over there today. Some girl was calling people out for sending her ex a screen of her bitching about child support. Then they were also talking about some dude faking his suicide. What?

 

Dear god I hope I never get that email asking me to do it again. MTurk has been so bad lately I might commit mturk suicide and do it. I can take studies like that in small doses... had to spread that thing out over 5 days.

I suspect I won't be hearing from him. I did it back when it was a bugfest. I've never exchanged so many damn emails with a requester. I don't think either of us wants anything to do with each other after the first time.

 

Did it mess up for you? I know a lot of people had issues with that. I only had a problem getting it to work at the beginning, but after that all my tasks worked and saved just fine.

 

Was the progress bar accurate on the first part or did it jump to the end towards the end?

 

I'm pretty sure it's not. I looked at it before the second half and the progress bar wasn't anywhere near halfway.

JUST finished it. Took 40 minutes for me, and every page was timed so you couldn't advance until however many seconds went by. Would recommend avoiding it

 

I'm thinking of becoming a requester so I can put up a batch of no-pay HITs only I am qualified to do. Just so I can accept them and toss them back for captchas.

You know the throttling nonsense has got out of hand when it takes half a dozen attempts to preview a p9r or brelig just to clear a captcha.

 

Oh yeah. Big time. My experience was pretty much the same as myopia's. I started to think the thing had it in for me. It would mess up on the pain in the ass ones with the bonus chance. I basically got screwed out of a decent bonus, I think. There were two that never worked for me so I ended up just clicking through them because I told the guy I wasn't doing those tasks yet again. I thought about mailing him afterwards to bitch about it but at that point, I just wanted to be done with it. Wait...why do I want to catch it again??

 

I don't think I'll end up doing that $9 HIT from the sounds of things.
