If the "other forum" is the one I'm thinking of, no thanks, I'll stick around here. And I'd suggest others do the same. This place is the best. Aaaand if it's a different forum, well, don't mind me folks, carry on lol [edit] Am I the only one who thinks it's a bit harsh to give this Aaron Wallen guy a bad TO review already? I mean, I understand the timer was short and some people couldn't finish in time but jeez, e-mail the guy and wait for a reply first before putting up a negative review. I dunno, might just be me though.
You're right, this one rocks. And, it's so much easier to use. So, is anyone else going to town on the CS sentiment HITs?
I agree! It clearly said 10 minutes so nobody should have been surprised. That's the thing I don't like about TO. It's really subjective. People get all ticked off about something that was their fault and they are quick to give the requester a bad rap!
I had some trouble with those. Sometimes I would be linked to a webpage where there was no review about the product that was mentioned. One time I was linked to a site that wasn't in English. i wasn't quite sure how to approach it so I just had to return both of those hits.
With the CF Ad hits I always rate Country Outfitters the highest and I noticed that I've seen their ads on facebook recently. It's like all this work I do actually has real life consequences!
CS is my bread and butter. If they ban me, I'm done on mturk. The hits are faulty. I emailed them about it, but no response yet. The ones I did earlier already approved.
He probably didn't know that setting the hit for 10 minutes would really limit the worker to just 10 minutes. I don't know why people are so jumpy to write a bad review on TO sometimes. Being a good human being and trying to work out a little problem with a polite email to the requester can solve the problem in a day. Trashing the TO of a person who is paying SO generously for a valid survey just doesn't make any sense!
They are kinda strange this time around (probably 85% of them aren't mentioned, or don't link to articles) but I'll just paste in a cookie cutter answer (ie, Not a specific product or service, article doesn't mention keyword, not an article). They are already approving some without a problem.
And I agree with you both! To be totally honest I've worked on HITs for "bad requesters" (according to TO) and had no problems whatsoever. Some people just see it as a place to vent their frustrations when they do something wrong and don't get paid. Just my opinion, and of course this doesn't go for every review/worker, but it does go for a lot that I've been seeing recently.
Nate, Do you happen to have the blog available that showed how to contact a requester if you haven't done a hit for them? I looked at it when you linked it but for some reason I didn't bookmark it. Was going to email that 3.00 survey guy but I don't have his email. Thanks.
