I have been marking them as not a restaurant but if you open up just the website it looks like a full blown restaurant with a full menu and I just wanted a confirmation. Thanks!
Just got a TOTW for a Dunkin Donuts in NYC I couldn't find anywhere. When I googled the phone number, I got a totally different DD address in NYC, and that one was on the official site. I just updated the address and marked closed. Sound right?
Got my first ever Ben and Jerry's for ToTW -ponders- Would this be considered a restaurant or no? I'm thinking yes, even though it only serves ice cream, because coffee shops are counted as restaurants so would ice cream shops be as well? I've marked it as yes for now, don't want to return a HIT, especially one that says Ben and Jerry's Would love clarification whenever you have time Mr Tasty.
Ice cream is a refreshment and the HIT instructions need to be corrected if ice cream parlors are not to be counted.
Which is why I marked it as a restaurant. It's just not what most people would think of as a 'traditional' restaurant sooo.. I asked. I'd rather be safe than sorry.
Has anyone else come across problems with the KFC locator? No matter what zip code I use it just keeps popping up no locations found. I even did my zip code and got the same issue.. and we sure have one here because I drive by it every time I go to the post office lol
In these cases where the phone is the same and the address is different, they can usually go either way. I would say, either update the address and mark open, or else leave the address as is and mark closed. Sound good?
Yes, it does appear the KFC locator isn't working. We probably won't be able to take down these hits in time, so in the meantime feel free to mark as closed/no info or just skip.
I've come across quite a few HITs today where in the address section on the top there will be some weird symbols/numbers. For instance the one I have now is: 7500 Beechmont Ave "# 216" Cincinnati OH 45255 BUT.. the numbers/symbols don't show up in the bottom update section. Soo.. just wanted to make sure I made a note of it here in case it's some weird wonkiness!
One more thing we've noticed a bit recently (will work on adding this to the instructions)... some menu sites pull in reviews from Yelp, but when you click through to read more on Yelp, you'll find it's actually pulling in reviews from the wrong restaurant. Seems there is a problem with how these sites are matching locations. So, beware of this and always click through to the original source of the reviews.
Can you give us some examples of which "menu sites" do this? Do you mean sites like Menuism and MenuPages? Thanks!
I've seen it more on allmenus and menupix. Here's one example: http://www.menupix.com/lasvegas/restaurants/2802844/Antonios-Pizza-Las-Vegas-NV (The reviews tab has reviews from Yelp, but when you click through to read more it goes to a Yelp page to a different restaurant.)
We'll have new batches for score 50 and 100 workers going up soon... and for new workers with qual 0, look out for a qualification batch tomorrow morning. Have a great weekend all!
