Depends on the state. They also send it to the address that's on your license. So if you've moved but haven't changed it you would never know if you were summon or not.
My Twitter stream is mostly about the Zimmerman jury and Fruitvale Station and something in Texas that I don't even want to know what it is. Good Lord.
I've lived in the same place forever. I don't think I'd ever get called. I believe in capital punishment and am atheist and have severe anxiety. One of those things would get me sent home.
Honestly, I used to feel the same way as you did, but I've come around to appreciate the humor/sidetracking a bit. I can't really think of a much better alternative, because what someone else said is correct - if an alternate place for chatter were put up (either chat, or another thread) the HITs would just end up getting posted there instead because that's where people would gravitate. The best suggestion I have for clearing up the clutter is using the option that turns off gifs. That worked wonders for me, and isn't an option I've ever seen on any other forums I've used. It's a godsend.
I like this HIT, but after a while my right hand gets tired of moving the mouse as quickly as possible. I also wish terms like CPD, town, and city were left out of it. I can't remember the number of times that google couldn't find a website until after these are removed. Woodstock CPD google search brings up financial businesses and maps, not the woodstock area website. Did you know there is a starbucks city? Who would want to live there?
Just want to say thanks to all you kind folks who posted HITs today along with all the chatter (which has been interesting). Thanks to you guys, I had my first day of over $10 ever. 66 HITs, $15.37. Not bad for a slow Saturday!

Just make up some bs about why you'd be bias because either "ive had someone like the defendant rob/assualt me before and he was never punished" or "I believe cops a pigs that plant evidence after ____ happened to me/my friend" Some States have it where you get called but cycled through cases for a week. For example Monday is the more serious cases. By the time Friday rolls around its like petty theft or something else. Ive seen a juror say he'd be bias because he was disappointed he wasnt picked for the murder case earlier in the week and now hes upset hes wasiting his time with this small case. He wasn't picked.
Dreading looking at my weekly total on Sunday. This will be my slowest week ever. I knew that going in, still will be sad to see the numbers.
