I did this same HIT and did not get rejected. Product descriptions never use first person POV, at least none I've ever seen, so it was implied in the nature of the task that first-person is a no-no. I've done multiple product description HITs from him and have never had a rejection. All I do is describe the product objectively and add some marketing buzz, and I've had no issues.
I don't remember the instructions specifically for this hit, but I do seem to recall that it A) didn't say no personal pronouns (if it's a big no-no, state it, assume nothing) and B) that it said imagine you are trying to sell the product to a person (not the submitter AJ, but to someone else) which implies that it is ok to sell from personal experience. But largely, if there are ground rules, he should just state them.
Agreed. I've worked for this guy multiple times for that page and never had any problems, even when he's edited what I've written.
Yeah you're right, he should make the limitations and rules clearer for everyone. I'm just trying to add that he isn't an entirely unfair requester. If you've contacted him regarding your issue hopefully he will change things for the better in the future.
Yeah I did contact him to tell him that it was kinda silly to reject on a basic set of unlisted rules and that he should put them on his HITs so that we can not only prevent rejects, but also so that he gets quality work. Seems like it should be a win-win, but whatever.
I agree with this 100%. So long as the requester makes sure to rectify errors they are great in my book. This guy did, so although he needs to change instructions for now he is not in my dog house.
I finally grabbed the Rutger's media coverage election $4 hit. For those that completed this, have you been paid and if so, how long did it take? Everything went smoothly with the popup window, got my code, program closed out but then I lost the mturk window and had to grab it my assigned hits. I can't see how that will be a issue as the actual survey software never stalled or froze out but it still made me nervous. Don't you hate when bugs happen right at the end?
Did you do any of those automated call HIT's I made $4 dollars doing those and they are already approved.
When I got there it said No more HITs for this group D: Edit: Guys, when do you typically send your money to your ank account/use it? Since I can't find anything and can't make a poll, I'll ask here (It's really slow.)
Requester: Anditsready Install and try a Google chrome add-on and fill out a short survey. Took me 7 min. Pays: 1.00 dollar.
I wait until I have $100 or more in my account to do a transfer. I don't really have any reasoning behind it, but that's what I've been doing so far.
Haha, I thought that one was pretty funny too. I was like, "Umm, obviously not, or else I wouldn't be taking this survey." lol
I usually let it hit $20 then transfer. I've read far too many horror stories about people being blocked and it always seems to be people that have a decent amount in their account. So I just don't let it get that high.. I'm paranoid LOL
