When I started, I thought of it like a RPG. I was grinding quals and hits. It turned into a obsession, be careful, this is the most addictive RPG I have ever played my friend.
You guys who missed out on HWTF dodged a bullet. In fairness though, I started turking over a year ago, and back then it wasn't quite as horrid. It's worm food now.

zingy, you're suppose to link the new thread to the old one. I was like 'where did everyone go? Only 14 member on.'
I agree, but to be honest I would rather be addicted to something that is making me good money than being addicted to World of Warcraft or something. But, I will take your advice and try not to dive too deep into the mTurk abyss.
Damn, worm food eh? I made 900 in 3 weeks. I wonder how it was a year ago. *edit - Too drunk to realize actual meanings of things

It says Requester blocked me from doing his HITs? I don't think I've ever done one from him before. It doesn't say I'm not qualified either... Weird.
The reddit subforum thread. Just avoiddddddd and with this last post I will go sleep. I will see you lovely people in the PM.
Zingy and I used to talk about that pretty often... mturk is like an MMO... grinding out those dailies, raiding batches with your workgroup... cept this is the only mmo that actually has loot worth the effort. I ordered this last night: http://www.amazon.com/Canon-EOS-1D-18-1MP-Digital-Camera/dp/B005Y3T1AI Paid for entirely by grinding mturk.

Yeah, I could definitely see that. I have an addiction to MMOs and I have an addiction to mturk. I've been using it to have spending money while my other job pays the bills. Boyfriend sometimes says I shouldn't spend so much downtime on turk, but most of the time it isn't too bad and I'm making money, so I'm happy.
When I first started I poured tons of hours into it... just tons... But then I felt like I was compromising my relationship with the GF for turk... so I started carving out portions of the day when I do not turk, no matter what pops... so that I spend that time with her. I don't work weekends much anymore. The caveat to that is that I've been turking long enough now to have gotten some decent quals, learned some tricks and requesters to watch for... and I maximize the hours I do spend by making more during that time. I've had $800 weeks, and I've had $50 weeks... I'm sure when my fav requesters go away as they all do, I'll be back to grinding crap like rnr till the next big thing comes along and my earning potential sky rockets again.
Honestly, RnR's RIGHT NOW, are half the amount plus easy. Basically 3 tags and done.... Go get em bois and gurls
