So 20 minutes later...I have made a terrible decision. Instead of turking, I've been mesmerized by laughing baby videos, supernatural gifs, and this awesome fried cabbage in front of me.

Man some of these emails are nightmares. What are these people thinking when they made them? Lets just us a random string of numbers and letters.

I can't help but wonder how they are going to apply these answers to particular workers. They didn't ask for Worker ID's in the email and as far as I know (at least, from what I believe to be true) the requesters don't have our personal information unless we write to them to give it to them or respond to an email like this.

Basically, if I write back to this generic email, how are they going to link that with the survey I took earlier unless I give them my worker id?

I included my ID. I think they messaged us on Mturk, but mturk doesn't have an inbox so they sent it to our email address.

Yeah took like 25 minutes. If I was in control it would have taken about 4, and I still would have gotten them all correct. Ug.

 

I gave up on it. It was taking a good 3 minutes to load to the next alien.

I'm sure it's been discussed, but just wanted to weigh-in on those CrowdFlower "Local business directory" hits. It is a JOKE how nearly every single one of their "test" questions is WRONG. They keep saying my answer wasn't what they expected, even though I double check it and see that my answer is absolutely correct.

It's unfortunate because if the QC questions weren't screwing me over by constantly being wrong, this is like a 15c/min hit.
