Other than the usual cast of characters, we will be having some sort of Brussel Sprout recipe, probably roasted with dried cranberries, nuts, balsamic vinegar etc etc.
I had no dinner and wine with the neighbors. Im 3 seconds away from hitting the kitchen to see if we have any.
Lil you can drink wine on an empty stomach and still post coherent posts? what is this craziness??!?!
How do you guys like stuffing? No, that's a serious question. I've tried to like it on numerous occasions. It looks great, often smells great. It doesn't taste bad but when I put it in my mouth, I regret it. Maybe I'm just approaching it wrong or something.
Well, I'm off to bed. Good luck to the night shift and thanks again Holly for making the night that much more enjoyable. It's a pleasure turking with you all.
All the stores have stuffing on sell right now super cheap. I took advantage of that. Not just for Thanksgiving but for like...Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday and probably Sunday.
Well, you might just not like it, which is crazy. My favorite way to eat it is in a Thanksgiving sandwich, with the delicious dinner rolls, stuffing, mashed potatoes and a piece of honey baked ham. Oh god why must I wait another week???!!
If you've tried it numerous times and you don't like it, then you just don't like it. (Unless you only ever tried stuffing made by one person.) There's no shame in not liking something. It's your right as an adult.
Well, I see I have been missing out on a lot. I could only go back so far and read about stuffing. (and what the hell is this box stuff you talk about, shred some bread and make it fresh, geesh)
Oh, I know that. The problem is that stuffing often comes (in large portions, too) with other foods. I don't always have someone willing to let me shove stuff onto their plate. I think it's a mental thing.
I find that stuffing that's actually been in the bird's gaping cavity tends to taste worse than stuffing that's been made sans-carcass. Just my opinion. Without the bird juices it's literally just bread cubes, herbs, onion, celery, broth and butter.
