I stopped at an abandoned school in Harlan to take some pictures and didn't feel comfortable because the area was really shady looking. If you look past the burned out buildings it is kind of a beautiful area. I really love the Roanoke/Salem area. My husband lived there for awhile. He won't move back though. He's sick of Virginia. He lived in Richmond most of his life.

If you didn't hear from him, I'm sure you're okay. I did more than 150 of those suckers over the weekend, and he wrote to suggest that he was going to mass-reject them because I didn't take long enough. (He didn't include preview time in his assessment of how long I spent reading). I've corresponded with William West sufficiently to know that he no longer has any doubt of my reading comprehension (and retention). But a more subtle issue came up over how he wants them done as opposed to how I thought I was following his instructions. For me, the upshot is that I'm going to do those 150+ HITs all over again, although I expect it will go faster this time. (In most cases, I am sure that I got things "right," and I need only confirm that). I think he's a good Requester. (He didn't reject those HITs out of hand, and he listened to what I said).
