thank you. that's like the third time i've talked about something *totally* unrelated to what was inside a survey and been called out. overreaction much.
Not everybody who turks does so as their primary source of income. In fact I would hope that MOST are not using turk as primary income.
check this: twitter.com/mittstormtips " Mitt's Storm Tips @MittStormTips Marathon cancelled but I know one Kenyan still running! #MittStormTips" ahahahaha
I'm sorry, but I think you inferred that. I was just saying that the average return on the surveys is around there. Maybe once I get over 500 hits I can actually start doing some writing or higher paying surveys

I'm just saying that the premise of that statement isn't necessarily accurate. You questioned if the results were skewed because people are working for $2 on surveys, but that's not indicative of the financial situation of turkers in general. Many just do some turking for a little extra spending money during the week, their views aren't going to be skewed because of the pay of the survey.
the point is, if you're willing to spend time doing surveys and spending time like this? you probably don't have money sitting in piles around your house.
Fair point. Looks like I was assuming frugality was correlated with wealth which is essentially devaluing MTurk work for people with higher incomes. Saw your icon, I'm glad so many independents are well spoken.
aright, been working since 11PM, and i just hit 200 HITs submitted for the first time. time for me to pass out for the day. good luck making some money folks. have a good one. go mizzou!
If anyone's having a slow day, there's some more CrowdSource Google search HITs up. These are decent for downtime/getting hits up (.08-.24/hit)
anyone know if prospect smarter has a time they usually post hits? I know that two lakes is usually 8 am, and set masters are 10 am (EST for both) and I was wondering if prospect was similar and had a specific time they're usually there-- those are my favorite batch hits (other than pr0n ones). i usually get to do them in the evening (EST, again) but i dunno if that's just random or if they're on a schedule like SM and TL seem to be.
Hi ash breaks stuff, I have read your email and yes there is an interest in you as a potential worker...Keep up the good work and stay positive!!!
There is a very tempting looking stack up by somebody called InternetVision, but WATCH OUT! The requester doesn't say how many nouns they want generated per image and rejects if there are not enough. I assumed the bitch wanted just one noun per image, because she didn't say anything about how many were required, and now I'm looking at 25 rejections.
WAY OFF TOPIC here, and quite possibly the stupidest thing you will read all day, follows,,,, I got a "children of the corn" vibe going on here. Seriously, I've been thinking about this for a day or 2. Look over to your left at everyones profile. Notice how most all of us has a join this forum date of like -Oct, Sept. Aug, July 2012 join date? Sure, there are a few out there, have been here 3 years, but they (members) are few and far between. Anybody else notice this? And IF I am right, then where the hell did all the elders go????? I'll show myself out now.....
When Turker Nation's moderators lost their minds this year, people started looking around for a new home. That's why we're mostly newbies.
