Did you email him saying he forgot to give it to you? put something like "forgot to give me qual" as the subject and he will get back to you fast.

Are you contacting him through the contact thing in mturk, or do you have his email?

most of the writing hits that i've done are explicitly or implicitly just article/review rewrites. in general, i find that the requesters aren't looking for pulitzer prize-winning material. they just want good grammar, perfect spelling, and content that makes sense and is relevant to the topic. but even more than these things, they want unique content - meaning, no set of words that is identical to the source material.

so if a hotel review says "quaint but luxurious accommodations", at the very least, you should write "accommodations that are luxurious as well as quaint" but ideally, find another way to say it using at least some different words. sometimes it's impossible, like the name of a hotel, or product, or whatever - changing the name will change the meaning, obviously, but aside from this, everything else should be different.

as another example, if you have a list of things, like in-room amenities at a hotel, at the very least, change the order around so no two things appear in the same order as the original list. but it's better to try breaking up the list into separate ideas, maybe one list for things that provide comfort like beds and tvs, and a separate list for things that provide convenience like hair dryers and coffee makers.

most of these writing assignments are for websites that are trying to get ranked highly on google, probably to generate ad revenue, and if they get detected as having duplicate content, they'll get blacklisted from the search engine and the whole site is then a big waste of time and money.

EDIT: obviously, pay attention to each requester's specific rules. on the whole, i find none of them want you to write in the first person, which makes sense given what these articles are intended for. but requesters may have other quirks as well, like code white wants you to use a certain term a certain amount of times, james goldsmith prefers that you divide the article into sections and make section titles, david matchett's political/entertainment news hits are only for items from the last couple of days, things like that. i find most of these requesters to be communicative, so ask questions and they're generally happy to answer. unfortunately, haven't gotten any response from the one i want to speak with the most, ms. asher, but i'll give her a few more days...

Incorrect. They poses different questions. So while they may have come across as repeats, they weren't. :)

I just did my first hotel re write. The description was maybe 3 or 4 sentences. I think I wrote 5 sentences total. Shocked to see it just got approved :D

that's sort of the catch-22 with article rewrites for me. i can write books on anything i know about, but the articles they ask for are rarely about something i'm familiar with. that's why i love the hotel hits, because after a few i can at least pretend i know something about them, the same goes for when pinnacle media dumped a huge batch of marginal tourist destination hits, and when tyler quick and then david matchett had all those diet pill reviews, and now james goldsmith with the e-cig articles. takes a few to get the rhetoric, vocabulary, and style down, but after that, profit everywhere. i'd much rather be writing about allegories of soviet oppression in 20th century russian literature, or symbolism of christian eschatology in the films of ingmar berman, but i guess i don't want it bad enough or i'd be in grad school...

psh I bet you could do writing hits. my grammar sucks all the time too except for when i'm doing essays/articles/rewrites. you might surprise yourself once you start. you just gotta know when to turn it on and off (the grammar light bulb above your head). Like if i wrote some of those hits like the way i talk on here or text, i'd have waaaay more rejections. I wish i wasnt so lazy to use good grammar all the time though. i thank when i was in school for that. freaken killed me with all of those essays. now i only type good when it's needed haha!!!

I know this is late, just getting caught up. On the Credit Card Review site where it says the # of comments above the discussion box where you post your review you might have to switch it to "Reverse Chronological" and it will be there.

this, and also, just keep things simple. you can write a lot just limiting yourself to grammar that you're comfortable with and confident in. and if you want to get better, i think anyone who does any writing for a living needs strunk & white's elements of style. it's short, concise, has lots of examples, and is just full of amazing awesomeness.
